Introducing Q.TRON Solar Panels

Qcells solar panels are proliferating through the Washington residential solar market. The cost-effective and reliable Qcells solar panel is an easy consideration for your 25+ year investment in generating electricity from the sun. Excitingly, Qcells engineers are bringing a new player to the solar space in the USA, Q.TRON solar panels. We dive into what separates this technology from the rest and permits maximum energy generation over the 25-year warranty with minimum degradation.

Q.ANTUM NEO N-Type Technology

The engineers at Qcells laboratory have constantly evolved the Q.ANTUM, p-type cells, which are more resistant to space radiation and degradation. Now, they are expanding their technical expertise into n-type cells that are more efficient, and they are proud to introduce Q.ANTUM NEO, the innovative n-type technology of Qcells. The results are a 420/425 watt solar panel that will still produce 90.6% of its rated capacity by year 25!

Q.ANTUM NEO vs. Standard Cells

N-type

Within Q.ANTUM NEO solar cells, a passivation layer and electrical interconnection functionality integrate in the NEO Power Transmitter layer. Allowing total area passivation and contact simultaneously, thus overcoming the PERC limitations.

P-type, PERC

Standard PERC solar cells use a passivation layer with small holes for electrical interconnection of the cell rear side. Passivation is reduced in the contact area, which limits the maximum efficiency.

Qcells' Industry Leading Quality Control

Qcells Yield Security

Qcells Yield Security includes Anti PID Technology, Anti LeTID Technology, and Hot-Spot Protect technology thar protects the solar cells and modules from various degradation effects and hot spots.

Initial Certification

Qcells’ modules get initial certifications from external institutes, such as TÜV Rheinland as per the IEC and UL standards, ensuring electrical safety and long-term reliability.

Long term reliability and quality testing through Quality Controlled PV (QCPV)

Qcells ensures all products meet the high standards of our company. As the quality leader of solar industry, Qcells applies up to 3 times stricter testing standards than the global standard.

Qcells is the first solar module manufacturer in the industry to pass TÜV Rheinland’s new Quality Controlled PV (QCPV) certification, the most thorough testing program in the industry. Developed by TÜV Rheinland, QCPV is not only the most extensive and stringent test program to date but is also the only certification in the entire industry to involve independent and random onsite testing by external experts, as well as regular material and supplier audits.

Committed to the USA

Qcells operates the USA’s largest monocrystalline solar panel manufacturing plant in Dalton, Georgia. In January, Qcells announced the most significant investment in US solar history to build a complete and sustainable solar supply chain in the United States. With this announcement, Qcells will have a production capacity of 8.4 GW by 2024 and a total of 4,000 clean energy jobs. These investments underscore Qcells’ commitment to USA manufacturing.

Why Use Q.TRON solar panels in Washington?

Solar is a fantastic investment in Washington due to its unique climate and incentives. Utilizing the best solar equipment ensures maximum clean energy generation and long-lasting electricity savings. That’s why we at Northwest Electric and Solar continuously seek out the latest and greatest in solar. With an already six-year-long relationship between us and Qcells, we are very excited about this groundbreaking step in solar panel technology, the Q.TRON!
