A big year for Renewables

The Intersolar North American and Energy Storage North American (ISNAESNA) 2023 conference served as an excellent midpoint for Q1. Professionals in every aspect of the renewable energy industry came together to connect and build new friendships. We learned a lot about the exciting new features from our trusted partners and new ones that will elevate how this industry provides for its customers! Here is a recap of our time at ISNAESNA23 and our first Solar Games experience!

Gathering for a better future

Along with the third iteration of the Solar Games, ISNAESNA23 was an example of how much the renewable energy industry has grown! Between new software for setting visual expectations for US-based solar panel manufacturing. A plethora of new battery storage companies and improvements on existing products from our favorite brands; to say that we have a big year ahead of us is an understatement!

Solar Games 2023

NWES participated in their first-ever Solar Games competition, pitted against other top installers nationwide. We were excited about this challenge and opportunity. Our first-round game was against Aloha Solar from San Diego.

Lessons for next year

Unfortunately, our first game was also our last due to 5 points; either way, we learned a lot for the next time we got to compete. Similar to how Aloha Solar did as they competed last year, they got pointers on how to improve and won the Solar Games competition for 2023. A great point to bring home is that we scored the best on safety, which is NWES’ firstmost priority when installing heavy equipment on the ground and the roof!

Our Solar Games Team

Here is our fantastic team for the Solar Games! They worked hard and finished first, AND with the time bonus, true solar and battery pros. Thank you, Michael, David, Cameron, and Teemu, for representing NWES and our dedication to mastering the craft of installing renewable energy technologies!

A new visualization tool

Solar View was a nifty tool that we discovered at ISNAESNA. It uses an alternate reality software to set equipment and conduit onto the side of a building or inside the garage. It’s a great visual tool that helps set expectations for customers and our installers!

Looking forward to the rest of 2023

Although we didn’t win the Solar Games 2023 competition, many good experiences came from our time at ISNAESNA. We learned about new products our partners release, which we will share with you. And having gone to all the different booths and speaking to companies worldwide has excited us about the Seattle Home and Garden Show we will participate in from February 25th – March 5th!

Catching up with partners

It was so much fun getting some face-to-face time with the partners we have worked with over the years. Here is a gallery of photos we took with our sales techs, me, and friends! Companies included are Fortress Power, IronRidge, SPAN, Aurora, NABCEP, S-5, and Rooftech!
